About the book Liv

In 2009, Liv moved with her husband Gabriel and their two sons from the cold Sweden to Israel in the Middle East. They looked forward to a quiet and pleasant life in the Mediterranean climate. But instead it was the beginning of a long nightmare scenario, where life came to hang on a weak thread.

In year 1997, in another part of the world, Stephanie lives out her dream as an officer on a luxury cruise ship. She gets to experience places she had previously only dreamed of, from swaying palms on sun-drenched beaches in the Caribbean, to the throbbing big city life in New York. She believes she has found the love of her life, but the question is whether her happiness and dreams will survive all the cultural clashes, intrigues and hierarchical games she is constantly exposed to.

Stephanie’s, seemingly glamorous, life is interwoven with Liv’s life laying in ruins. Both Stephanie and Liv are becoming aware of the power and irony of fate, which none of them manage to run away from.

Liv is a thrilling novel about getting the most out of life, adventure and passion. At the same time, it is about when future is falling apart right in front of you and everything becomes a struggle between life and death. But above all, it is a story about the love that survived everything, against all odds.
